150 BAr a h i n-e-a h madiyya They have dedicated this world and the hereafter to Him; They lie humbly, like dust, at His threshold. The goblet of their heart shatters into bits; The fragrance of the Beloved emanates from their hearts. The Friend wipes out all signs of their own being; when He manifests Himself to them; Finally, He alone emerges from the recesses of their soul. If they could reveal the fire that blazes in their hearts, Smoke would rise from Majn un ’s grave [in com- parison, Majn un ’s fire of love would appear as mere smoke]. They are oblivious to their own being; They live in utmost humility for the sake of the Friend. All people attend to their own affairs, But the lovers care only for the Beloved.
