So this matter is clear to those who reflect. Allah the Exalted has said: ىٰۤسْيِعٰي ْيِّنِا َكْيِّفَوَتُم َو َكُعِفاَر َّيَلِا [O Jesus, I will cause you to die a natural death and will exalt you to Myself ( S u rah A l-e-‘Imr a n, 3:56)] Here tawaff i [dying] precedes raf ‘a [exaltation], as you can read. So this is the verdict of Allah, and whoever does not judge in accord with what Allah has sent down such are surely the disbelievers. And it does not behove anyone to change the word of Allah from its place. And Allah has cursed all interpola- tors, as you well know. The second testimony is the verse: اَّمَلَف ْيِنَتْيَّفَوَت [But since You did cause me to die… ( S u rah al-M a ’idah, 5:118)] Glad tidings be to those who reflect! And the third testimony from the Holy Quran is the word of God: َو اَم ٌدَّمَحُم اَّلِا ٌلْوُسَر ْدَق ْتَلَخ ْنِم ِهِلْبَق ُلُسُّرلا
