BarĀhĪn-e-a H madiyya — Part Four 60 the foundation upon which this claim is based—is that at the time of the advent of the Holy Prophet, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, the world had deteriorated to such a state of darkness that it demanded the rise of the Sun of Truth. It is in this context that God Almighty has repeatedly described the very mission of His Apostle in the Holy Quran that he found the people of this world plunged into pitch darkness, and then brought them out of that darkness. As He says: — ٌبٰتِك ُهٰنْلَزْنَا َكْيَلِا َجِرْخُتِل َساَّنلا َنِم ِتٰمُلُّظلا ىَلِا ِرْوُّنلا 1 S u rah Ibr a h i m, Part Number 13 — ُهّٰللَا ُّيِلَو َنْيِذَّلا اْوُنَمٰا ْمُهُجِرْخُي َنِّم ِتٰمُلُّظلا ىَلِا ِرْوُّنلا 2 [ S u rah al-Baqarah ] Part Number 3 — َوُه ْيِذَّلا ْيِّلَصُي ْمُكْيَلَع َو ٗهُتَكِٕىٰٓلَم ْمُكَجِرْخُيِل َنِّم ِتٰمُلُّظلا ىَلِا ِرْوُّنلا 3 [ S u rah al-A h z a b ] Part Number 22 ْدَق ْمُكَءٓاَج َنِّم ِهّٰللا ٌرْوُن َّو ٌبٰتِك ٌنْيِبُّم ْيِدْهَّي ِهِب ُهّٰللا ِنَم َعَبَّتا ٗهَناَوْضِر َلُبُس ِمٰلَّسلا َو ْمُهُجِرْخُي َنِّم — ِتٰمُلُّظلا ىَلِا ِرْوُّنلا ٖهِنْذِاِب َو ْمِهْيِدْهَي ىٰلِا ٍطاَرِص ٍمْيِقَتْسُّم 4 S u rah al-M a ’idah, Part Number 6 ْدَق َلَزْنَا ُهّٰللا ْمُكْيَلِا اًرْكِذ اًلْوُسَّر اْوُلْتَّي ْمُكْيَلَع ِتٰيٰا ِهّٰللا ٍتٰنِّيَبُم َجِرْخُيِّل َنْيِذَّلا اْوُنَمٰا َو اوُلِمَع ِتٰحِلّٰصلا 5 [ S u rah a t - T al a q ] Part Number 28 — َنِم ِتٰمُلُّظلا ىَلِا ِرْوُّنلا Meaning that, this is Our Book that We have revealed to you with the objective that you may guide people, who are steeped in darkness, 1.
