"Say, if the whole of mankind and the Jinns were to come together to produce the like of this Qur’an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed up each other with help and support. And we have explained to man in this Qur’an every kind of similitude: yet the greater part of men refuse to accept it except with ingrati- tude. " 120 12. Do they say, "He has forged it. " Say, "Bring ye then ten S u rahs forged, like unto it, and call to your aid whomsoever ye can other than God, if ye speak the truth. " 121 13. "Indeed those who repudiated the Message when it came to them, (they are in manifest error), for verily it is a book that dominates: falsehood can- not reach it, neither from the front, nor from be- hind; it has been sent down by Him who is H ak i m and H am i d (the possessor of all wisdom and all praise.
