For cleanliness it is prescribed on the one hand that pure ‘I t r and rosewater is to be used. On the other it is said it is enough if the whole body is bathed only once a week 86. The feet are to be washed during winter once every three days, and during summer once every day 87. 5. In the Bah a ’ i sharia a man is forbidden to marry the widows of his father. Apart from that there is no restriction. It is written in Aqdas "The widows of your fathers are forbidden unto you, and we felt a shame in saying anything in regard to boys" 88 6. Human semen has been held not dirty hygieni- cally 89. Therefore, it is to be presumed, a bath is not necessary after sexual intercourse, nor would discharge necessitate a fresh ablution for prayer.
