سیر روحانی (10) 143 انوار العلوم جلد 26 Religious leaders, we were terribly shocked and saddened that there have been misunderstanding of our attitude and feeling about Mohammed۔We have always believed that the teachings of the Prophet are one of the world's basic manifestations of democracy۔and that the tenets of the Muslim faith are a direct progenitor of the philosophy of Abraham Lincon۔Despite the Fact that the book was written fifteen years ago under the direction of a book editor who conceived of the Project as a Humanized, Romanticized approach to biography for a westernized gudience we have not had the slightest intention of detracting from the philosophical stature of Mohammed and that is why we have been so distressed our any Misunderstanding that might have arisen۔We wish you Godspeed on your new work on the Prophet Mohammed and if you mention our book would you please convey to your readers how saddened we have been over any adverse reaction and would you convey that we are the last people in the world who are critical of the very great contributions of the muslim faith۔sincerely,
