70 َو اَل ِلْوَقِب ٍنِهاَك اًلْيِلَق اَنْذَخَاَل ٗهَّنِا ُلْوَقَل ٍلْوُسَر ٍمْيِرَك۰۰ َّو اَم َوُه ِلْوَقِب ٍرِعاَش اًلْيِلَق اَّم َنْوُنِمْؤُت۰۰ اَّم َنْوُرَّكَذَت۰۰ ٌلْيِزْنَت ْنِّم ِّبَّر َنْيِمَلٰعْلا۰۰ َو ْوَل َلَّوَقَت اَنْيَلَع َضْعَب لْيِواَقَاْلا۰۰ 1 ُهْنِم ِنْيِمَيْلاِب۰۰َّمُث اَنْعَطَقَل ُهْنِم َنْيِتَوْلا۰۰اَمَف ْمُكْنِم ْنِّم ٍدَحَا ُهْنَع َنْيِزِجٰح۰۰ See S u rah al- Ha qqah, Part Number 29, and the translation of this is that: ‘This Quran is the word of the Messenger’—that is to say, it has reached to him through wa hi [revelation]—‘and it is not the word of a poet; but because you possess little discern- ing faith, you do not recognize him! And is it not the word of a soothsayer’—that is, it is not the word of one who is connected somewhat with the Jinn a t [hidden beings, great or small]—‘but you think so since you are given very little to thinking and reflecting. You fail to consider how abject and disgraceful the condition of soothsayers is. On the contrary, it is the Word of the Rabbul-‘ A lam i n [Lord of all the worlds], Who is the Lord of both the physical world as well as the world of souls’—that is to say, He desires to nurture your souls in the same way that He nurtures your bodies—‘and it is indeed due to the requirements of this Rub u biyyat [Providence] that He has sent this Messenger. And if this Messenger had fabricated something from himself and said that such a thing has been revealed to me by God, while that word would have been his own and not of God, then We would have seized his right hand, and then severed his main artery, and no one from among you could have saved him. ’ This means that if he had fabricated a lie about Us, its punishment would have been death because, in such a case, by his false claim 1.
