104 Quran and D a r Qu t n i hadith. God also stated that on observing these eclipses the disbelievers would say the same thing that it is no Sign; it is just an ordinary phenomenon. It should be remem- bered that in the Holy Quran there is an indication to this eclipse of the moon and the sun in the verse: 1 َعِمُج ُسْمَّشلا َو ُرَمَقْلا۰۰ And in the hadith about these solar and lunar eclipses is the nar- ration of Imam [Muhammad] al-B a qir, whose words include َّ إِن 2 ِ َتَيْن ی ِّنَا آ ی ِ لِمَهْد [‘These are the two Signs for our Mahdi’]. And the most amazing fact is that in Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya, almost fifteen years in advance, news was given about the phenomenon of the solar and lunar eclipses. It was also foretold that when the Sign appears unjust people will not accept it, and will say that such occurrences happen all the time even though, ever since the world came to be, solar and lunar eclipses have never appeared in the same month, that is, the month of Ramadan at a time when some- one who claimed to be the Mahdi was present. And the phrase that is repeated twice: ْ َ ا ہّٰللِّٰ فَھَل ْ اَنْتُم ن ِّ َ ا ہّٰللِّٰ فَھَل ْ اَنْتُم ْ مُّؤْمِنُوْنَ. وَقُل ْ عِنْدِی ْ شَھَادَۃ ٌ م ن ِّ قُل ْ عِنْدِی ْ شَھَادَۃ ٌ م مُّسْلِمُوْنَ.
