A pproaching the West—138 Thus We have sent it (the Qur’ ā n) down as manifest Signs and surely All ā h guides whom He will. (22:17) This is a Book which We have revealed to thee, full of blessings, that they may reflect over its verses [Signs], and that those gifted with understanding may take heed. (38:30) A Book, the verses [Signs] of which have been expounded in detail … in eloquent language … for a people who have knowledge. (41:4, [41:45]) And in like manner We sent down the Book to thee, so those whom We have given true knowledge of the Book believe in it (the Qur’ ā n); and of these Meccans also there are some who believe in it. And none but the ungrateful deny our Signs… Nay, it is collection of clear Signs in the hearts of those who are given knowledge. And none but the wrong- doers deny Our Signs. And they say, ‘Why are not Signs sent down to him from his Lord?’ Say, The Signs are with All ā h, and certainly I am a clear Warner.
