A pproaching the West—146 earth—are indeed Signs for the people who understand. (2:165) The significance of these Signs becomes evident to men of understanding who remember All ā h while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and ponder over the creation of the heavens and the earth. They come to the conclusion that their Lord has not created all this in vain (3:191-192). Verily, it is All ā h Who causes the grain and the date-stone to sprout. He brings forth the living from the dead, and He is the bringer forth of the dead from the living. That is All ā h; wherefore, then, are you turned back? He causes the break of the day; and He made the night for rest and the sun and the moon for reckoning time. That is the decree of the Mighty, the Wise. And He it is Who has made the stars for you that you may follow the right direction with their help amid the deep darkness of the land and the sea. We have explained the Signs in detail for a people who possess knowledge. And He it is Who has produced you from a single soul and there is for you a home and a lodging. We have explained the Signs in detail for a people who understand. (6:96-99) Diverse aspects of natural phenomenon are named in great detail as Signs to prove that God the Creator exists and is in full control over all His creation.
