at the Annual Jalsa in Rabwah Pakistan in December 1964۔As soon as the approval was given a large number of Ahmadi ladies donated their jewellery and a sum of Rs۔8,000 was collected at the spot۔The total contribution for the Copenhagen Nusrat Jehan mosque was Rs۔606,000۔Sahib- zada Mirza Mubarak Ahmed laid the foun- dation stone of this mosque on the 6th of May 1966 and Hazrat Khalifatul Masth III performed the opening ceremony on 21st July 1967۔Almighty Allah bestowed the Ahmadi ladies again with a chance to offer finan- cial sacrifices by contributing for the mosques built at Hamburg and Frank- furt۔Hazrat Syeda Nawab Amtul Hafeez Begum, daughter of the Promised Mes- siah, was bestowed with the honour of laying the foundation stone of the mosque at Zurich, Switzerland in 1962۔Al Hajia Fatima Ali and Al Hajia Ilarga built two mosques in Ijebu Ode, Lagos, Nigeria۔Al Hajia Fatima Ali con- structed a mosque on the main road in Lagos and later on she donated it to the Ahmadiyya mission Nigeria۔Hazrat Khal- iftul Masih III inaugurated this mosque on 12th April 1970 during his historic tour of West African countries۔In spite of strong opposition from her sons۔Mrs۔Mohina Shah a Hindu convert, donated a large piece of land to the Jama'at for the Sarwanga mosque in the Island of Lambasa۔Ahmadi ladies donated carpets and books worth 157 dollars for the Mahmood mosque at Maro۔Madam Billies Okenlade built a mosque as a token of gratitude to the Almighty for saving her son from a disaster during a sea voyage۔She built the mosque with her hard earned money and donated it to the Jama'at۔۔Al Hajia Skhefia Tu Bakare of Okela Quarters Ikara built a beautiful large mosque near her home costing £1504۔Then she presented the mosque to the 16 Ahmadiyya mission۔A widow from Karachi, Khizer Sultana, gave away her entire jewellery for building a mosque at Rabwah in Pakistan۔The mosque Khizer Sultana was built near the Railway Station and a house was also built adjoining the mosque so that the rent received from the house should be used for the main- tenance of the mosque۔The dedicated services and sacri- fices which the members of the Lajna Imaillah have rendered in the way of Almighty Allah and the cause of Ah- madiyyat are most commendable۔It is quite obvious that in the last hundred years Ahmadi ladies have responded to every call for sacrifice with dauntless courage۔As we celebrate the 100 years of Ahmadiyyat we congratulate the members of the Lajna Imaillah for enter- ing the second century holding the torch of numerous sacrifices in every respect in the way of the one and only God۔In the second century every step entails heavier responsibilities, harder work and greater sacrifices۔We do hope that our younger generation will be brave enough to shoulder these responsibilities with much more vigour, enthusiasm and courage, taking guidance from the laud- able heritage of their older members۔(continued from page 8 companion in life and that too 1400 years ago, at a time when daughters were buried alive as soon as they were born۔As a mother, paradise is promised to be under her feet۔While in European society parents don't have even the right to live with their children۔All this was not in theory but was carried out in practice by the Holy Prophet himself and by his companions۔It was a pattern of life which could be truely called PARADISE ON EARTH۔
