The following abbreviations have been used in this book, Readers are requested to recite the full salutations when reading the book: SA. An abbreviation for s al-lall a hu ‘alaihi wa sallam , meaning “May peace and bl essings of Allah be upon him,” is written after the na me of the Holy Prophet Muhammad SA. AS. An abbreviation for ‘alaihis sal a m , meaning “May peace be upon him,” is written after the name of Prophets other than the Holy Prophet SA. RA. An abbreviation for ra d i-All a ho ‘anhu/‘anh a / ‘an- hum meaning, “May All a h be pleased with him/her/them,” is written after the names of the Compan- ions of the Holy Prophet AS and of the Promised Messiah AS. RH. An abbreviation for ra h imahull a h , meaning, “May All a h have mercy on him,” is wr itten after the names of deceased pious Muslims who are not Companions.
