111 glory and whom He had sent for the guidance of man- kind, was, thus, alone entitled, and able, to lead man- kind to God. In support of this, he manifested each attribute of God in his own person, and by bringing God closer to man, brought man closer to God. The Holy Quran says, 'As man cannot approach God, He approaches Himself nearer to man. ' 56 This being His way, He has in this age appeared to the Promised Messiah as and has through him mani- fested Himself to the rest of mankind, to show that He is the Living God, and that as He was the God of Abraha- m as , the God of Moses as , the God of Jesus as , and the God of Muhammad sa , He is today our God, and has not abandoned us; only we, through our ignorance, had forgotten Him. It is not possible for me within the time and space at my disposal to explain with regard to each attribute of God how the Promised Messiah as manifested and dem- onstrated it to the world after he had attained perfect Divine realization himself. However, a few of them may be illustrated here. One attribute of God, which is very widely ac- knowledged is the attribute of knowledge.
