Then he marches forward till the spirit of God Almighty dwells in him and with a special manifestion the Lord of the worlds establishes Himself in his heart. Then his old humanity is consumed and a new and pure humanity is bestowed on him. For him God Almighty becomes a new God and establishes a special relationship with l1im and he is equipped in this very life with the pure fittings of a heavenly life (Fateh Islam, pp. 34-5, footnote]. a my Community, may God Almighty be with you. May that Mighty Benefactor prepare you for the journey to the hereafter as the Companions of the Holy Prophet, peace be on him, were prepared. Bear well in mind that this world is nothing. Cursed is the life which is only for this world and unfortunate is the person all whose grief and sorrow are for the sake of the world. If there is such a one in my Community, vain is his membership of the Community, for he is like a dry branch that will not bear fruit. a fortunate ones, follow eagerly the teaching which has been given to me for your salvation. Believe in God as One, without associate, and do not associate anything with Him in heaven or in earth. God does not forbid you to employ means, but he who turns aside from God and depends entirely upon means is a pagan. God has ever affirmed that there is no salvation without a pure heart, so become pure-hearted and cast aside rancour and anger. Man's ego has many impurities, but the greatest of all is arrogance. Had there been no arrogance, no Qne would have disbelieved. So become meek of heart and have sympathy with mankind. You preach to them about PJlradise, but how can your preaching be effective if you should wish them ill in this ephemeral world? Discharge your 0bligations to God Almighty with fear in your heart, for you will be called to account in respect of them. Supplicate earnestly in your Prayers so that God might draw you to Himself and purify your heart. Man is weak; vice can be overcome only by the power of God Almighty and unless one is bestowed power by God one cannot succeed in overcoming vice. Islam does not ,mean that you should merely repeat the credo verbally. The reality of Islam is that your souls should fall prostrate at the threshold of God Almighty and God and His commandments should, from every point of view, have preference over the world (T azkaratush Shahadatain, pp. 61-2].
