62 AHMADIYY AT The complete security of life, limb, honour, property and good name that he continued to enjoy all through his life, despite the bitter hostility of some of his opponents, was a matter of wonder for friend and foe alike. Whenever God Almighty designs to exalt one of His servants to the level of prophethood, He lays the foundations of His design long before the birth of such. a person. From the moment of his birth He places him under His own guardian- ship. He safeguards him against all evil and develops all his faculties beneficently so as to prepare his mind for the recep- tion of His message and to prepare his physical form and capacities to endure all that he might have to encounter in the cause of God.
