ISO AHMADIYY AT Even if you perform such service that you have to sell your immovable properties to carry it out, it would be disrespectful of you to imagine that you have performed any service at all. You are not aware that Divine mercy is eager in support of this faith and that His angels are descending upon the hearts. Every matter of reason and understanding that arises in your hearts is not from yourselves but is from God. A wonderful system of lights is descending from heaven. I admonish you repeatedly to serve to the utmost limit of your capacities, but let not a thought pass through your minds that you have done something. If you think so, you will be ruined. All such thoughts are disrespectful. A disrespectful one is ruined more quickly than anyone else [T ableegh Risalat, Vol. X, pp. 54-5]. To affirm the convenant of Ba'iat with the tongue alone amounts to nothing, unless it is carried into effect fully with determination. He who acts fully on my teachings enters my house, concerning which there is a promise in divine revelation: I shall safeguard all that are in the house. Do not imagine that only those people are dwellers in my house who live in this house of bricks that belongs to me. Those also are dwellers in my spiritual house who follow me completely. To follow me it is necessary for them to believe that they have a Mighty, Self-Existing and All- Creating God, Whose attributes are eternal and unchangeable. He has no father and no son. He is exempt from suffering and being put upon the cross and being killed. He is far, and yet near. He is near, and yet far. He is One, but has diverse manifestations. Thus a person experiences a change in God according to the change in himself. Yet, no change takes place in God, for He is eternally unchangeable and perfect; but when a person moves towards goodness, God manifests Himself to him in a new way. At the time of every improved condition that manifests itself in a person God Almighty also manifests Himself in -an improved manner. He. manifests His might in an extraordinary way, where an extraordi- nary change takes place in a person. This is at the root of all extraordinary happenings and miracles. This is the God Who is presented by our Movement. Believe in Him and prefer Him to your own souls and your comforts and all your relationships; and exhibit sincerity and loyalty in His cause with courage in a practical way. People of the world do not prefer Him to their resources and to their relatives, but you must prefer Him to everything, so that
