Government. " '50. NIDAWATUL ULEMA OF DEOBAND:. These pro British sentiments of the Ahle Hadith leadership in the sub continent of India were also shared by the Nidawatul Ulema of India whose leadership declared that its institutions: 'main objective is to produce enlightened ulemas whose bounden duty it is to be fully aware of the beneficence of the British rule and also to inculcate the spirit of loyalty towards the Government in the country.
