CHAPTER SEVEN. CHALLENGE TO MAULVI SANAULLAH. Islam being a religion of reason' requires that its truth be established on sound reasoning through healthy discussion. There are however situations where such a healthy discourse becomes impossible on account of the persistence of one party not to accept the truth. In such situations, Islam permits recourse to a prayer contest known in religious terminology as the Mubahilah between the two parties. ".
