It implies that there are only two possible scenarios: either Jesus as is alive and his original teachings remain intact, or he is deceased and his teachings have since become corrupted. If it has not strayed and still embodies a genuine faith, then all Muslims are obliged to convert. According to this perspective, Christians are on the right path because Jesus as is only alive if his followers still adhere to his original teachings.
