Here is what Deoband i ulema have said about Barelav i s: Any person who makes the case that someone has knowledge of the unseen except Allah Almighty, and his knowledge is equal to Allah Almighty, is without doubt a k a fir. It is unlawful and forbidden to permit such a one to lead the prayers, to have love and affection for him, or to have any contact with him.
