347 22 Justice in Speech Many aspects of justice in speech have been discussed previously. Without repeating them, we shall now throw light on some others. From this angle, after dividing human beings into different categories, I have selected some verses of the Holy Quran and the corresponding sayings of the Holy Prophet sa. Justice in speech is the root from which this subject stems and further grows and spreads into many branches. God declares: …And when you speak, observe justice, even if the concerned person be a relative, and fulfil the covenant of Allah. That is what He enjoins upon you, that you may remember. (S u rah al-An ‘a m; Ch. 6: V. 153) In this regard, it should be particularly noted that the phrase 'Justice in Speech' can be understood differently by different people. But the Holy Quran throws light on every possible meaning of this phrase.
