— Part III 306 Holy Prophet sa. Had the Jews not been guilty of the breach of contract, they would have revealed to the people those Biblical prophecies which the Muslims construe as applicable to the advent of the Prophet sa of Islam. They did not do so and concealed some of the prophecies as originally mentioned. Of course, they had every right to interpret them differently, but they had no right to interpolate them as they did. Because most often the common people do not have a personal knowledge of the Book, they trust their religious scholars that their version of the Book must have been right. In the present times, the mullahs who oppose Ahmadiyyat are guilty of the same breach of contract as the Jews were at the time of the Holy Prophet sa. Why do they not speak of the full context of the verse Kh a tamun Nab i yy i n and the verses preceding and following it? They, too, like the Jewish ulema, had every right to interpret those verses to suit their own beliefs; but not to speak of the entire context is like hiding that part which goes against them. Habitually, they never mention the verse which binds the Holy Prophet sa to the same covenant of Prophets as as taken from all earlier Prophets as. This is so because it clearly goes against their interpretation of the verse Kh a tamun Nabiyy i n. See how the Holy Quran observes human nature so minutely.
