The Recording System Operative in the Entire Universe 291 oea. In short, everything is inscribed and every inscription is talking. If man, despite his limited knowledge, can read and comprehend these writings of the past, how stupid it would be of him to live under the misconception that his own personal record has escaped the Divine recording system. Thus he forgets that he will be confronted one day with whatever he had been doing in the past and will be convicted on the strength of this indelible evidence. The One who created this system is far better equipped to read its inherent messages than the archaeologists of today. If man studies this system more minutely, he would be terrified to realise that the hidden voices in the recesses of his heart, as yet in their formative state, are also being recorded. Likewise, the intention of committing evil, as yet dreamily turning over in its bed of creation, does not escape this recording either. How can man run away from the hour of questioning? Elaborating upon this subject further, the Holy Prophet sa adds to it the subject of limitless forgiveness of God when He so desires.
