— Part II 234 and uninterupted possession it was considered his. Hadrat Mirza Sahib’s elder brother took legal action to have the property restored. In keeping with the tradition of such law-suits, he pressed a case which was not altogether true. He claimed that the owner of the house did not have long standing continuous possession of the land and had only recently taken control of it. The owner of the house did not have means to prove his long standing possession. He had only one option to defend himself. His plea was, 'I do not wish to call on any witness. I only ask that the plaintiff’s younger brother be examined. Whatever statement he makes will be acceptable to me. ' So Hadrat Mirza Sahib was summoned to court and asked whether he knew of the defendant and his family using the disputed land for some years. His reply was in the affirmative. Consequently the court decided the case against his brother. 39 The Ahmadiyya Community is greatly honoured that God has commissioned them for the task of reviving the moral excellency of Islam.
