The Teaching of Justice and Kindness Regarding Relatives 391 our own hands, not out of love for them but to please Allah, then Allah would reward us for that. Now we return to the previously discussed narration by S‘ad bin Ab i Waqq a s ra. He reports, that 'after the admonition by Ras u lullah sa , I expressed my fear that this disease of mine could prove fatal and I may not return with the other companions to Medina. Thus my migration would be left incomplete and I may not get full reward for it. ' At this he assured me 'you will certainly not be left incomplete in reward. Whatever you do for the sake of winning the pleasure of Allah, you will most certainly receive full reward for it and also, it is possible that you may not be left behind. ' In fact it was a prayer. He further narrates, 'Allah showed mercy upon me in response to that prayer and I became completely well and was able to return to Medina. Then I lived long after the demise of Hadrat Ras u lullah sa and was bestowed the opportunity to relate this narration.
