— Part III 312 abode', describes it as a curse of their final abode. The words S u ’udd a r can be taken to mean their final abode after death or the final abode in their pursuits of earthly life. A Mutual Balance between Crime and Punishment God has meted out to every people a punishment for their violation of covenant which is intrinsically linked with their crime. In relation to those who claim to be Christians, the Holy Quran states that because of the violation of a part of their covenant at the hand of Jesus Christ as , We caused enmity and hatred between them till the Day of Doom. The verse reads: And from those also who say, 'We are Christians', We took a covenant, but they too have forgotten a good part of that with which they were exhorted. So We made mutual enmity and hatred their lot till the Day of Resurrection. And Allah will soon let them know what they have been doing.
