Apparently, Christian nations are softhearted and so is their original teaching but a different picture emerges when you analyse their national attitude critically. In totality, their attitude to the poor nations is hard-hearted and it is their economic policies towards their nations which continue to make them stricken with greater poverty. The current system of Capitalism and the universal banking system based on interest owes its existence to the two peoples of the Book, i. e. the Jews and the Christians. This merciless set-up continues to widen the gap between the rich and the poor. The third characteristic mentioned in the verse is their tendency to twist words to interpret a covenant or law to their own advantage. This is the essence of diplomacy in the modern world. In the religious world their clerics show the same tendency. They play the same game with their own Scriptures and their religious followers. They never feel ashamed of distorting the true import of their teaching. Another characteristic of such people is with regard to their discriminative attitude. They do not abandon the Divine Law altogether but only pick and choose between the do’s and the don'ts to suit their own advantage. Thus, the study of the history of such people reveals that they never abandon their Divine Ordinance altogether but stick fast to a part of it and
