— Part I 108 And whatever misfortune befalls you, is due to what your own hands have wrought. And He forgives many of your sins. And you cannot frustrate God’s plan in the earth; nor have you any friend or helper beside Allah. (S u rah al-Sh u r a ; Ch. 42: Vs. 31-32) In other words, man brings misfortunes upon himself, but it is God who often forgives his sins and saves him from his self-inflicted ruin. A scan of the history of wars would establish that the underlying cause of every disruption of peace is, without fail, the violation of the principles of justice. The Doctrine of Trinity The Christian doctrine of Trinity is a befitting example of the gross injustice of man in relation to God. According to the Holy Quran: The heavens might well-nigh burst thereat, and the earth cleave asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, because they ascribe a son to the Gracious God. (S u rah Maryam; Ch. 19: Vs. 91-92)
