But unfortunately in this age when most travellers carry many valuable articles with them, which can easily be deposited as security against a loan, those who lend them money fall into trouble because they do not follow the Quranic injunction in this regard. Thus they sow the seeds of bitterness in the society. Another offshoot of this incautious conduct is that it encourages deceitful behaviour in monetary transact- tions as well. So, these seemingly unnecessary details should not be lightly dismissed.
